Remote Learning

Students currently use a wide range of platforms to access subject content, resources and activities online.

All work to be carried out independently for KS3 and KS4 students is set via our school MIS; Arbor. All parents and students have online access to this platform.

Examples below of platforms used by subjects:

  • Geography - Seneca and BBC Bitesize
  • PE - Teams and Sharepoint
  • Languages- Kerboodle, the Language Gym, Booklet.com, Quizlet and Duolingo
  • Maths - Sparx, Mathsgenie and OnMaths
  • English - Seneca and Teams
  • Social Sciences - Flipped Law, Seneca and Tutor 2U
  • SEND - Typing.com
  • Food Technology/Catering - BBC Bitesize and Seneca
  • Computing - teach-ict.com, Python Online and Tuurtle Academy
  • Science - Seneca
  • Ethics and Philosophy - Seneca

 

Subjects may also set online learning from the Oak Academy. If staff need to engage with pupils for online learning, then this will with teaching staff for most pupils and for some with teaching assistants when required. This contact will be made via Teams. There will be a mixture of online live streamed lessons and pre-recorded content for pupils to access.

All work will be set via the Arbor platform.
