At Manshead CE Academy, our core purpose is to raise the aspirations of all learners and strive for academic excellence

Manshead CE Academy has an excellent reputation for the personalised approach that we bring to learning and in how we provide individual support for every learner based on core Christian values.

We hope that prospective parents will be able to attend our Open Evening and Open Days later in the year to see the academy in action and experience first-hand the excellent facilities available to learners. Alternatively, you are welcome to visit the academy in action at any time convenient to you. Please contact 01582 679400 to arrange an appointment.

To apply for a place, this is done through the Local Authority, for Year 6 to Year 7 admissions and through the LA or direct through the school, as set out in our admissions policy below.

Admissions Policy 2027/28 Consultation

As the Admissions Authority for Manshead CE Academy, the Diocese of St Albans Multi Academy Trust would like to draw your attention to the proposed changes to admission arrangements for 2027/2028.

The proposed changes to the policy are as follows:

  • The allocation of places have been reordered to place looked-after children and post-looked-after children as the priority
  • The Dunstable Fellowship has been removed from the policy as it no longer exists
  • The policy has been updated to be compliant with the Admissions Code.

In line with the guidance from the Admissions Code 2021 1.46, the six week consultation period will run from Friday 12th December 2025 to Monday 26th January 2026
